Make a Funny Victorian Portrait of Your Dog
Here's a tutorial at Can't Stop Making Things
on how to make a funny Victorian portrait of your pet.
It's pretty simple, all you need is a picture to work with
(you can probably find one at The Graphics Fairy)
and a picture of your pet.
Pretty funny.
Create Your Own Prescriptions!
The Dating Divas might be one of my new favorite blogs...
Here's a tutorial on how to make a Prescription for Fun
game to play with your spouse!
I love this idea so much,
it's so playful and original.
You put the little capsules inside the pill bottle of those "grow an animal" thing
that you can find at the dollar store or somewhere they sell kids stuff.
that you can find at the dollar store or somewhere they sell kids stuff.
I can even make this for my boyfriend
who currently lives 800 miles away,
with a couple of alterations.
S'more Brownies!
This picture alone is enough to inspire me to make these s'mores brownies...
That's all I need to show you, words are pointless here.
Check out the recipe here
Mario Theme Coasters
I was just browsing along the internet for inspiring crafty projects. and I came across this awesome set! A Mario coaster set, complete with a box for storing the coasters. This is way more intricate than most perler bead sets I've seen, with actual scenes and backgrounds to each coaster.
My boyfriend would DIE if I made him something like this.
I need to go purchase some perler beads... asap.
Thanks again to Craftster.com for helping me in my search for all things crafty!
Make a Tassel Necklace
The ladies at Hope Studios brings us a wonderful
tutorial on how to make Tassel Necklaces.
I usually see necklaces like these in stores
going anywhere from $25-100.
But you can find out how to
make one yourself,
for way less.
Free Keep Calm & Merry On Printable
You know the whole "Keep Calm and Carry On" print outs,
Well for the holiday season, it's "Keep Calm & Merry On"
Cute, right?! |

How To Make a Framed Wordle Print
This idea is so great because it
really is simple, cheap and personal.

You don't need to be an artist,
just have access to scrap paper and a printer.

Oreo Fudge Balls
I found the recipe for OREO FUDGE BALLS!
I'm not sure if these recipes are the ones my ex's parent's used to make,
but they look similar... I'm so excited.
These things are amazing.
I want to make them right now.
They're so rich, and fudgy,
and oreo-y.
My boyfriend will love them. <3
Crayon "Batiked" Candles
When I was in high school,
my honors art class did a batik project
and it was so much fun.
I wish I had the means of making
more batiked art on my own.
However, I came across this tutorial
at Craft Chi on how to use crayons to
create "batiked" candle art.
It's certainly not the traditional art of batik,
but it's still pretty cool and you most likely
have everything you need for it
sitting around your house!
(or a $3 trip to the dollar store).
Cross-Stitched Tetris Magnets
I'm so excited I found this tutorial on how to make
cross-stitched Tetris magnets
(you can also use these as Christmas ornaments or little grab bag gifts).
This tutorial at Craftster shows you how to make a cross stitched pattern,
but you can also make these with perler beads,
but I think the cross stitch looks much more interesting and unique.

Learn How To Make Burger Clay Earrings
Go to Crafter News to find out how to make Clay Burger Earrings.
This video tutorial is great.
I never knew oil pastels could add detail to polymer clay.
Mini Strawberry Cheesecakes
This recipe at I Heart Naptime looks incredible.
I can't wait to make these for the next family get-together...
Maybe they'll be more popular than my cousins's taco dip!
(yeah right).
Bring Your Child's Art to Life
This tutorial shows you how to bring your child's artwork to life!
I love having two nieces that I can make these for
without having to give birth... haha.
But seriously.
This tutorial at What Rachel Made Today is so simple &
will really brighten your child's day.
Make Your Own Personalized Postcards
At The Simple Dollar, you can find a really great and simple tutorial
on how to make your own personalized postcards and stationary.
You don't have to be an artist to make these...
just have an eye for matching color combinations.
Create a Water Stencil Portrait
This is a really cool technique for creating watercolor stencil portraits. I can't wait to try it out. I already went out and bought the Art Masking Fluid. The peeling the sticky stuff up seems like the funnest part! Find out how to do it here.
Using Bleach to Dress Up a Tee
Use bleach pens to create a funky T-shirt.
I love this style and it looks like a fun process.
Go to Kimberly Michelle to see the tutorial for yourself.
Fall Frame
This fall frame is so adorable...
and the idea of it can be
interchanged to winter holidays & summer time!
Go to Hero Arts and find out how to make your own!
Put Shutters on Your Bulletin Board
This tutorial is so great!
I love the chic look of putting shutters over top your bulletin board.
You can find out how to do it yourself here at Crafty Nest.
Paint Chip Art
As a crafting hoarder in denial,
whenever I go to the Home Depot or Lowes,
I grab as many paint chips as I can shove into my purse...
and sure, sometimes they come in handy
with different projects...
but this one at Aunt Peaches
looks so great!
and I can empty my
shoebox of paint samples.
I'm going to do one for my bathroom!
